the dialogue in this ep was awful too like mary's speech at the end - "my baker street boys" - it was just so heavy handed and self indulgent and cheesy. like how did they go from "In saving my life she incurred a value on it; it is a currency I do not know how to spend" to such inelegant garbage?

this is extremely strong evidence that there’s something fucky going on, in my opinion. like, we didn’t imagine the high-quality writing this show had. they are good writers. so what happened?
